Job Description:

Under the consultative direction of the Digital & Information Technology Internal Audit Senior Manager, the successful candidate will lead the development, maintenance, and review of advanced digital solutions, including but not limited to Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Power Automate, to support Internal Audit initiatives.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong analytical mindset, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, data-driven insights and solutions. Key responsibilities include conducting technical research, ensuring data integrity, and driving the development of data insights based on department metrics and audit trends. Additionally, the candidate will define project scope, develop new automations with the use of Alteryx or other, enhance existing dashboards and automations, mentor and foster new digital talents within the team through the Digital Champions program, and effectively communicate results and recommendations to project stakeholders and audit leadership.

Essential Functions:

Audit Automation Development:

  • Design and develop digital workflows in Alteryx to automate audit procedures, including data extraction, transformation, and analysis, tailored for Internal Audit use.
    • Clearly outline the objectives and expected outcomes of the automation.
  • Create Power BI dashboards to visualize audit findings, trends, and key metrics for Internal Audit stakeholders.
  • Utilize proprietary tools to integrate and analyze data for Internal Audit automation purposes.
  • Develop Tableau dashboards for advanced data visualization and reporting to support Internal Audit insights.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance audit processes and increase audit coverage through automation and digital solutions designed for Internal Audit consumption.
  • Comprehensive Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed documentation for all automated processes, including workflow diagrams, scripts, and configuration settings.
    • Document any changes or updates to the automation.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with business units to ensure audit automation solutions align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Provide training and support to Internal Audit team members to ensure successful adoption of automation solutions.

Project Management:

  • Lead large, complex automation initiatives within the Internal Audit department.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver automation projects on time and within scope.
  • Develop and implement operational plans that have a measurable impact on audit efficiency and results.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success within the department associated with Digital Innovation and Projects.

Technical Expertise:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau and Proprietary Tools, providing guidance and training to Internal Audit team members.
  • Ensure compliance with audit standards and best practices while implementing digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate automation tools with existing systems for Internal Audit purposes.

Innovation & Problem Solving:

  • Identify and address undefined challenges and complex problems in audit procedures.
  • Conduct extensive investigations to understand root causes and propose innovative solutions tailored for Internal Audit needs.
  • Develop new concepts and standards to improve audit processes and outcomes.

Communication & Influence:

  • Communicate with Internal Audit stakeholders, including senior leadership, to present automation strategies and results.
  • Influence leadership and staff to adopt new practices, approaches, and technologies for Internal Audit automation. Conduct briefings and presentations to senior leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Alteryx, including workflow automation and data transformation.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Expertise in Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and visualization of audit findings and metrics.
  • Proficiency in Proprietary Tool for data integration, analysis, and automation tailored for Internal Audit.
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau/PowerBI for data visualization and reporting specific to Internal Audit needs.
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation tools and methodologies within audit functions.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale automation projects with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience in additional data analytics tools such as SQL or Python.
  • Knowledge of audit standards, regulatory requirements, and business operations.
  • Certification in Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $103,500 - $192,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $90,000 - $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
