Job Description:
L3Harris is looking for an Associate, HR Business Partner to support both functional and P&L employees based in our Waco, Texas site driving HR programs and change management initiatives.
The Associate, HR Business Partner will support and drive business and HR strategic initiatives resulting in continuous improvement, enhanced employee engagement, and superior business results. This is a hands-on role and will require performing transactional work.
Essential Functions:
- Strategic Alignment: Align HR strategies with L3Harris, MMG business objectives, ensuring the consistent and unbiased application of various annual HR processes, initiatives and programs.
- Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and competencies to meet current and future needs. Partner with leaders on proactive succession planning and knowledge transfer.
- Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal systems that drive high performance and support employee development.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment, facilitating issue resolution, and maintaining legal compliance. Conduct investigations as necessary and maintain management representation.
- Change Management: Introduce, lead and influence organizational change initiatives, helping to manage transitions and facilitate effective two-way communication between with employees and between functions.
- Compensation and Benefits: Work with the compensation team to ensure that pay and benefits are competitive and equitable, and aligned with the company's compensation strategy through salary planning and other compensation processes.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- HR Metrics and Analytics: Formulate and utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Advisory Role: Act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues, providing guidance and recommendations. Provide coaching and counseling at all levels in the organization.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion within the organization, ensuring that all employees have equal opportunities.
- Organizational Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of organizational structures and cultures that improve efficiency and employee engagement.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with COEs to develop, facilitate and implement the timely, accurate and appropriate delivery of solutions, programs and policies that support the strategic goals of the company, connect business value with talent, and promote a diverse, inclusive environment that maximizes the success of the people.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Preferred Additional Requirements:
- Experience providing consultative influence to leaders.
- Experience partnering with business leaders in the design, development and execution of human resources strategies and practices.
- Graduate degree and/or SHRM or PHR/SPHR certification.
- Prior Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
