Job Description:

The Billing Analyst is responsible for preparing and submitting invoices to various types of customers within the government, analyzation and collection of accounts receivable accounts, and financial reconciliations.  The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a team environment as they will work closely with Project Finance and Contract Managers to ensure billing accuracy. Deadline driven, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organization, and detail orientation are all essential characteristics in the ideal candidate.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and review monthly invoices according to company guidelines utilizing financial reports to ensure compliance with deliverable deadlines.
  • Analyze unbilled receivables monthly against standard reports, research and resolve a variety of internal and external customer inquiries concerning billing status.
  • Initiate communications with internal customers to resolve billing discrepancies and collection issues.
  • The Senior Billing Analyst will work closely with our Project Finance Team and Contract Managers to ensure accuracy of invoices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in processing and validating project type (Time& Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), or Cost-plus (CP) invoices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Commercial/Government Contracts, Program Finance (PFA), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) or Federal Acquisition Regulations

(FAR).

  • Experience with payment systems like WAWF, ExoStar, IPP, MPO, ViaSat, or PLSC.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $54,000-$100,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $61,500-$114,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
