Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Product Manager to join our team in Orlando, FL. This role will work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of production programs. This role drives program execution across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, production planning, quality assurance and test. The OPM will be the primary interface between the Operations team and the Program Management Office, as well as the individual responsible for the achievement of schedule commitments and program goals.
Essential Functions:
- Has authority and accountability for the technical scope, schedule and cost pertaining to required operations activities on assigned program(s).
- Primary point of contact for the technical, cost, risk/opportunity, and schedule performance of the actions on the assigned program.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet cost, delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
- Engage with IPT Leads, Functional Managers, and leadership to promote successful action planning and execution.
- Support Operations by compiling the various Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) into a Master Production Schedule that can be used for the creation of a CEI.
- Maintain timely and effective change-management processes and procedures.
- Support multidisciplinary program reviews and presentations throughout the different phases of development, certification, and production readiness with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Proposal/BOE preparation for new business and changes in scope to existing programs.
- Support the development and implementation of operating philosophies and business strategies.
- Oversee change management activities, including ECNs, configuration baselines, and revision control to ensure engineering updates are accurately implemented into production.
- Deliver program performance reports to leadership and customers.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering discipline and a minimum of 6 years of relevants Manufacturing Operations experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing in the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple organizations and stakeholder groups.
- Experienced in supporting product life cycle processes, practices, and procedures to ensure product integrity and performance.
- Demonstrated success in achieving operational targets for specific programs and projects, contributing significantly to departmental outcomes.
