Compensation Range: Between $113,000 - $163,000 CDN annually
Essential Functions:
- Act as the system-level technical authority for integration, validation, and deployment readiness across multiple concurrent projects and test environments.
- Lead large, complex technical integration and validation initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, operating with minimal oversight or direction.
- Define, maintain, and evolve system-level validation strategies, standards, and approaches, ensuring consistency across test sites with differing configurations and objectives.
- Establish and implement operational plans for integration and validation activities that have measurable short-term impact on product readiness, customer acceptance, and project execution.
- Provide clear, evidence-based validation readiness and risk assessments prior to software releases, FAT, and STW, enabling informed management and customer decisions.
- Coordinate and align validation activities with test site teams, system engineers, software teams, and project stakeholders to ensure environment readiness and configuration coherence.
- Communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to align on validation scope, readiness status, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Investigate complex system-level issues observed during testing, FAT, STW, or field operation, conducting thorough root-cause analysis and guiding appropriate technical resolution paths.
- Support customer-facing validation activities, including FAT and STW, acting as a senior technical reference during critical project phases.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to engineers and testers across the organization within the area of system integration and validation.
- Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes, methodologies, and supporting documentation.
- Contribute input to new products, system architectures, deployment approaches, and validation concepts that improve organizational capability and customer outcomes.
- Maintain and evolve technical artifacts such as system integration maps, validation strategies, deployment playbooks, and known failure mode documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, Computer, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in software integration, system validation, testing, and/or deployment of complex systems.
- Recognized subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of system integration, validation, and test practices in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
- In-depth experience providing technical leadership and authority for large, complex integration or validation initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate large, complex technical activities across multiple projects, environments, and stakeholders.
- Strong system-level understanding of software interacting with hardware, deployment platforms, and operational environments.
- Proven experience conducting root-cause analysis on complex, ambiguous issues spanning software, integration, configuration, and environment domains.
- Hands-on experience with integration testing and system validation in real or simulated environments (test sites, laboratories, or field/operational environments).
- Experience supporting FAT, STW, or equivalent customer acceptance or commissioning activities.
- Experience using deployment platforms or tools as an end-user/operator; development or maintenance of such tools is not required.
- Demonstrated ability to influence practices, processes, and approaches across teams through technical expertise and credibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating technical status, risks, and readiness to leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, agile/DevOps methodologies, and support of legacy or obsolescent systems is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required due to contractual obligations
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
