This role will work as part of an agile, cross-functional team alongside architects, business system analysts, product owners, and senior developers to implement secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that support critical enterprise use cases.
Essential Functions:
- Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of full stack applications, workflows, and supporting services within the Palantir Foundry platform.
- Develop user-facing functionality, backend logic, and workflow features to support enterprise use cases across finance, supply chain, operations, engineering, and strategic planning.
- Translate user stories and functional requirements into technical solutions with guidance from senior developers and architects.
- Assist with development and maintenance of batch and near-real-time data pipelines integrating legacy enterprise systems into Foundry.
- Implement data transformations, validations, and quality checks to support reliable and accurate data products.
- Work with data architects and senior engineers to align development with ontology models, governance standards, and integration patterns.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following team standards for coding, testing, and review.
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution across application and data components.
- Contribute to frontend and backend enhancements, including UI components, APIs, pipeline logic, and workflow automation.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Provide task status updates, identify blockers, and support delivery commitments for assigned work.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of team development practices and tooling.
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, architects, and peer developers to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to support compliant and reliable deployments.
- Learn and apply enterprise architecture standards, secure development practices, and platform development guidelines.
- Develop proficiency in Palantir Foundry development frameworks, ontology-driven application development, and enterprise data integration patterns.
- Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted engineering tools where appropriate, to improve productivity and quality.
- Continuously build technical knowledge in software engineering, data engineering, and platform-based application delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience developing software applications using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience with full stack software development, including frontend development, backend services, APIs, and data-driven applications.
- Experience working with relational or non-relational databases, data transformation logic, and systems integration.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices including version control, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, Code Repositories, Workshop, Operational Applications, or ontology-based development.
- Experience building or supporting enterprise data pipelines, ETL processes, or application integrations across multiple systems.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience with backend/API development and scripting in Python or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps concepts, containerization, or infrastructure automation.
