You will lead and oversee all Supply Chain activities across the full program lifecycle — from initial proposal development through contract award and long-term production. You will manage every aspect of purchased material for programs of all sizes and complexity, influencing design decisions to optimize supply chain outcomes and driving all downstream activities including requisitioning, purchase order placement, prioritization, status tracking, receiving, inventory management, and customer disposition.
You will champion procurement strategies that balance cost effectiveness with the schedule demands of each contract, while proactively identifying supply chain risks and executing targeted mitigation plans. You will communicate material budget variances and supply chain health issues to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner, ensuring swift resolution. You will also provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Materials Management function.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as primary supply chain interface for program teams
- Lead material status meetings and present to large audiences/leadership
- Develop material financial forecasts aligned with EVMS; lead EAC/ETC reviews
- Maintain program material cost, delivery, and labor baselines
- Support NPD stage gate processes and represent supply chain in program/gate reviews
- Oversee Master Production Schedule (MPS) and MRP processes, including BOM maintenance
- Manage purchase requisition releases to procurement/subcontracts teams
- Collaborate with Production Planning and Operations on build plan execution
- Identify and resolve demand/transactional errors; drive root cause corrective actions
- Lead risk mitigation efforts across cross-functional teams
- Facilitate program closeout of material contractual obligations
- Serve as Supply Chain POC for program teams; mentor and coach team members
- Lead material bid processes, cost proposals, and Supply Chain BOEs for moderate-to-complex efforts
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Material Management, Supply Chain, MRP/MPS, Production Planning/Control, or related field
- 5+ years of proficiency with MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Master Production Scheduling experience
- Knowledge of FAR, MMAS, MAAR-13, CAS
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Manufacturing process knowledge
- Experience with CINCOM Control, Agile PLM, PDM, Kinaxis Rapid Response, or similar systems
