Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a strategic and collaborative Lead HR Business Partner to support our Information Technology (IT) function. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to IT Executives, helping align people strategies with business priorities in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, deep HR expertise, and the ability to influence leaders across all levels while driving talent initiatives that enable organizational performance, employee engagement, and workforce transformation.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for designated IT Executive leaders and teams, providing strategic and operational HR support.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that align with business goals, workforce needs, and organizational priorities.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on organizational design, talent planning, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and change management.
- Support workforce planning efforts, including talent acquisition strategies, succession planning, retention initiatives, and skills development.
- Partner with leaders to identify current and future talent needs within the IT function, with a focus on critical capabilities and emerging skill sets.
- Use data, metrics, and insights to identify trends, assess organizational health, and inform decision-making related to talent and workforce strategy.
- Lead and support organizational changes, including team structure changes, role alignment, and transformation initiatives.
- Partner with Centers of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and Employee Relations, to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Drive performance management processes and support leaders in developing high-performing, accountable teams.
- Promote a positive employee experience by supporting engagement initiatives, career development, inclusion efforts, and recognition programs.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent application of company policies, practices, and employment-related requirements.
- Ensure HR programs, processes, and policies are implemented effectively and in alignment with company standards and business needs.
- Support annual HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation planning, talent reviews, and succession planning.
- Champion change and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 9 or more years of HR generalist experience, with increasing scope and responsibility, supporting various levels within an organization.
- Efficiency in MS Office software products like Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching and consulting skills.
- Ability to link situations to the bigger picture; ability to identify root cause and underlying issues.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a solid contributing member of a team as well as operate independently.
- Effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working in a government contracting environment.
- Experience working in a matrix environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft.
- Experience with Team Facilitation, Change Management, Project Management, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation, and Organizational/Management Development.
