Job Description:

This role offers a balance of hands-on and administrative work, supporting property management activities across operational and office environments. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys being active throughout the day while also maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance-related processes. You will help ensure government and customer property is properly tracked, documented, and accounted for throughout its lifecycle. This opportunity is well suited for a detail-oriented professional who can move easily between floor-level inventory activities and desk-based coordination and reporting.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform hands-on property management support activities, including physically locating, identifying, tagging, and tracking government and customer property.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventories by standing, walking, counting, scanning, and verifying property in offices, production areas, storage locations, and other assigned spaces.
  • Reconcile physical inventory results with property records and identify discrepancies requiring research or corrective action.
  • Assist with the receipt, movement, transfer, and disposition of property, ensuring proper documentation is completed and retained.
  • Maintain accurate property records in property management systems through data entry, updates, and record validation.
  • Prepare and update reports related to property acquisition, tracking, transfer, utilization, inventory, and disposition.
  • Support data integrity efforts by reviewing records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency between physical assets and system records.
  • Assist with audit and assessment preparation by compiling documentation, conducting preliminary research, and helping resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor compliance with FAR, DFARS, FAR 52.245-1, contractual requirements, and company procedures through data traces, surveillance activities, and process reviews.
  • Support program reviews, property system audits, and internal self-assessments by generating summaries, maintaining documentation, and presenting information to senior property staff.
  • Perform a combination of desk-based administrative tasks and active floor-level property verification work on a regular basis.
  • Participate in training activities to strengthen knowledge of government property regulations, inventory practices, and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field or have completed their master's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Prior internship, co-op, or professional experience supporting government property, asset management, inventory control, logistics, or contract compliance activities.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Government Property Clause FAR 52.245-1.
  • Experience supporting audits, physical inventories, reconciliations, or data validation activities.
  • Experience with government, customer, or contractor-acquired property recordkeeping and accountability practices.
  • Experience working in ERP, property management, inventory, or other enterprise business systems.
  • Experience compiling data, prepring summaries or reports, and presenting findings to support reviews, assessments, or audits.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders, including program teams, subcontractors, and functional support organizations.
  • Exposure to aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated industry environments.
