Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an Electronic Warfare (EW) Specialist (Submarines) in Groton, CT. The EW Specialist is an electromagnetic spectrum (ES) expert capable of training and mentoring sailors and watch teams at the apprentice to master operator level. The EW Specialist will spend a large portion of their time in direct contact with learning site (LS) instructors and students in the LS’s trainers and classrooms.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for identifying training gaps and the creation of training products focused on improving those gaps in the submarine electronic warfare domain. They will focus on improving instructor and student level-of-knowledge in ES operations, employment, and maintenance.
- Engage with military-staff members’ teaching and SME skills development.
- Responsible for Safety and Security of submarine operations as it applies to EW
- Combat/Warfighting Training- EW Mission Area-of-responsibility, Independent At-Sea operations,
- Conducts training and provides feedback to improve EW analysis and operations integrated into watch teams using shore-based training facilities and resources during responsive training and pre-deployment training periods.
- Develops and mentors Site instructors, including overseeing staff to deliver challenging courses that the EW Specialist develops.
- Provides training and mentoring to submarine officer advanced course (SOAC) students (Groton Only), and Fleet Department Heads.
- Attend professionally relevant briefs and conferences consistent with their duties.
- Temporarily assigned projects or responsibilities assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.
- Bachelors degree and 6 years relevent experience (10 years experience in lieu of a degree).
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $86,500 - $160,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
