About the role

The Systems Engineer supports the creation of the engineering outputs for their assigned project/s in accordance with the agreed project/program tailoring to meet the needs of our customers and IMSA legal obligations.

The Systems Engineer is responsible to ensure agreed Engineering Processes within their assigned project are followed. Where applicable deviation from process is discussed and agreed through the discipline leads, engineering leads and relevant project managers, thus supporting the overall governance of the Engineering Processes within IMSA.

The key responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include but are not limited to: 

• • Support the Project Engineering Lead in requirements definition and management, removing ambiguity and misinterpretation prior to system development activities.
  • System Design Support
  • Safety Program Support
  • Integration, Verification and Validation Support
  • Support to Engineering Discipline Leads
  • Project Team Support
  • Familiarise oneself with an understanding of the IMSA business and Defence domains.
  • Be conversant and work in accordance with the business' policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated relevant experience in the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.

• Able and willing to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1

• Defence industry experience preferred

• Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering or relevant Scientific Discipline.

• Suitable qualifications and experience to meet the requirements of Chartered Engineer (Engineers Australia)
