Job Description:
This site-level role in Jupiter, FL at our West Palm Beach facility, is responsible for leading high-impact initiatives that enhance how we measure, improve, and communicate operational and business performance across multiple organizations within Operations and other site functions. The position will be responsible for driving transformational and process improvement initiatives across Operations and the site. You will lead efforts to identify inefficiencies, develop strategies for improvement, and implement changes that enhance productivity, quality, cost savings, and overall performance. Your role will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role will partner with leadership, other site organizations and operations teams to streamline critical processes to enable more robust business decisions. This role reports to the Director of Operations and will interface with the AR Director of Operational Excellence.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage Operational Excellence deployment and journey to gold status
 - Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion.
 - Identify areas for improvement through data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder feedback.
 - Lead the development, execution and adoption of the LHX Operational Excellence (OpEx) framework, including maturity models, assessments, and benchmarking tools
 - Develop and implement strategies and standardizations to streamline processes, reduce loss / waste, and enhance efficiency.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
 - Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to analyze and solve complex problems.
 - Facilitate workshops, training sessions, VSM (value stream mapping) and Kaizen events to promote continuous improvement practices.
 - Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
 - Provide coaching and mentorship to team members on operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
 - Maintain documentation of processes, improvements, and best practices. Manage and enhance SharePoint sites including consolidation and content curation for a more meaningful user experience and successful functional integration
 - Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving.
 - Lead the LHX Awards process to enhance the culture and recognition of Operational Excellence across the WPB site
 - Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
 
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proven experience in a continuous improvement role, leadership experience, project management, continuous improvement, manufacturing, and/or Operations with a strong understanding of process improvement methodologies.
 - Experience with Lean and Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Green Belt certification required; Black Belt certification preferred
 - Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO AS9100, ASQ certification, TQM) a plus.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, ability to develop high performing teams.
 - Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
 - Experience with project management, change management with influencing skills.
 - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
 - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems
 - Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in manufacturing
