Job Description:

Join L3Harris at the forefront of mission-critical innovation as the Principal Contracts Lead for the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) Program within the Networking and Data Links Solutions (NDLS) Division of Spectrum Superiority (S2). In this highly visible role, you will help drive successful business outcomes across both new and ongoing programs by influencing key business and financial objectives, including orders, revenue, operating income, and free cash flow. You will provide contractual, business, and risk-mitigation strategy guidance, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and safeguard the company’s interests through sound interpretation and application of contractual terms and conditions.

This role requires strong working knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), applicable FAR supplements such as DFARS, and other agency regulations. You will analyze significant and complex contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policy requirements. In addition, you will lead contractual reviews of solicitations, support proposal development, manage contract change control, oversee overall contract administration, and serve as the primary contractual interface with the customer. A key aspect of the role is structuring and negotiating contracts in ways that support business objectives and maximize cash performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Planning, conducting, and leading projects or major phases of significant assignments while coordinating internal stakeholders across assigned activities
  • Administering moderate- to large-scale contracts of significant complexity
  • Independently negotiating contract terms, pricing, technical requirements, scope, and conditions with customers
  • Recommending and coordinating contract changes, including major revisions, change orders, supplemental agreements, and price redeterminations throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements to protect the company’s interests
  • Monitoring contract execution across business units to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • Reviewing contract activity for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal and defense procurement regulations, as well as company procedures
  • Preparing internal management reports and required periodic reports for customer contracting officers and buyers
  • Supporting the development of policies, procedures, and best practices related to contract administration
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize contract processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
  • Strong communication with parties within and outside of the organization. Works to influence others to accept team's views or practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and finalize complex contracts, including pricing, terms, and conditions to maximize value and mitigate risks. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills necessary for working in a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Advanced education within the discipline or an MBA
  • NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc.)
  • Currently holds an Active Top Secret or Active Secret security clearance.
