Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Repair Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep on a variety of manufacturing equipment, up to and including SMT (Surface Mount Technologies) equipment, working in the CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) production area, and other systems within our facility. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, both AC/DC voltage, and be capable of troubleshooting issues efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems, including electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work requests and inventory of supplies and parts.
- Collaborate with other members of the Facilities team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal and team safety during maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility and manufacturing upgrades and renovations.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to facility maintenance operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs as needed.
- Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirement.
- Ability to travel as needed for training and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Comprehensive understanding of DC circuits and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Experience in Mycronic, Ersa, DEK, MPM equipment and other related manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with Pick and Place, X-Ray, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, and other related manufacturing equipment.
- Basic soldering skills.
