Job Description:
The Business Development Operations Professional is a critical contributor to the Mission Network Sector's growth strategy and operational excellence. This position requires a self-motivated, highly organized, and analytically driven professional who possesses the ability to synthesize complex data sets and draw predictive, actionable conclusions that directly inform business decisions. The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of independence, demonstrates strong business acumen, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
This role uniquely combines process improvement, operational oversight, and strategic growth initiatives to strengthen the Mission Network Sector's capacity to identify, pursue, and successfully deliver new business opportunities — all while ensuring efficient and consistent functional execution across the business development lifecycle.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain business development pipeline reporting, leverage dashboards and KPI tracking systems to support data-driven decision-making
- Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunities to inform BD strategy
- Support win/loss analysis and lessons learned workshops to provide actionable recommendations to improve business development function
- Manage and optimize deployment of CRM system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) to ensure data integrity and workflow efficiency
- Support onboarding and enablement of new BD team members
- Support executive-level presentations, business reviews, and functional performance reports
- Maintain accurate records of sponsorships and discretionary spending by the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years prior relevant sales analysis / operations experience (Program Management, Sales or Operations preferred). Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related sales analysis / operations experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with CRM Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI software
- Knowledge of sales processes: pipeline, common capture framework, forecast methodologies, incentive planning, etc.
- Strong experience/skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced time management and organizational skills
- Able to analyze problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $76,500- $142,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $88,500- $164,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
