Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Cyber Intelligence Specialist for our location at Offutt AFB, NE, supporting RC-135 Mission Systems, performing system certification/accreditation testing, and validation activities in coordination with government customers. This position supports secure systems operations/maintenance and conducts internal information technology system audits and risk assessments. Executes first-level investigations, responses and addresses reported or detected incidents in accordance with directives. You will be part of a diverse engineering team working closely with Information System Owner(s), systems engineers, program management, and product development teams to explain and interpret cybersecurity processes, practices, and procedures in relation to Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Essential Functions:
- Security and Central Data Services Administration
- Maintain network security systems, including firewalls and intrusion detection
- Conducting Security Scans/Audits: Perform regular security assessments, system scans, hardware inventory, vulnerability management, and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Review/Enforce network security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information while monitoring activity
- Investigate and respond to issues/findings, providing timely resolutions and recommendations
- Administering and troubleshooting enterprise level networks within a Red Hat Linux/Microsoft Windows environment and being familiar with services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and LDAP operating within those environments.
- Working with and configuring security devices/software and routing/switching hardware
- Providing weekly status reports to management, USAF customers, and training USAF personnel as requested
- Working collaboratively with both local & remote systems engineering teams
- Must be worldwide deployable with the ability to travel up to 30% of the time, 1–2-week trips
- Must be able to work various shifts depending on mission
- Ability to move up to 50 lbs and ascend/descend ladders up to 5% of the time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of cyber intelligence/security experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of cyber intelligence/security experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of cyber intelligence/security experience
- Two years’ experience with network operations, control, defensive measures, firewall administration, RAIDs, and secure configuration techniques
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret SCI clearance with CI polygraph within the first year
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or higher within six months
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance
- Knowledge and experience with the current RC-135 mission systems or equivalent platform or systems
- Familiar with security engineering principles, design patterns, and processes
- Experience with Tenable (Nessus/ACAS) and Elastic for SIEM support
- Certifications in CISSP, CISSP, CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, Linux+, Cloud+
- Programming experience with Linux shell scripting, MySql, PHP, Perl, Java and HTML
- Experience with matrixed development teams (hardware, software, systems engineers) and embedded systems engineering
