Compensation Range: Between $75,000 - $125,000 CDN annually

The Production Supervisor provides daily leadership and operational oversight for the assembly and integration teams within the Operations Engineering department. This role focuses on executing project-based master schedules in a high-variety, low-volume manufacturing environment. The Supervisor ensures that safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

Team Leadership & Development
•    Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 direct reports across Assembly and Integration functions.
•    Conduct performance reviews, manage staffing levels, and handle employee relations or disciplinary actions.
•    Build a culture of accountability, integrity, safety, and continuous improvement by fostering strong communication between production, quality, engineering, and planning.
•    Manage training and development needs to ensure the team maintains required technical certifications and safety standards.

Operational Execution
•    Lead day-to-day production operations to meet master schedule requirements and cost objectives.
•    Facilitate daily Gemba Meetings to align the team on project goals and resolve immediate floor hurdles.
•    Monitor and manage key production metrics, including Hours Per Unit (HPU), Master Schedule Attainment (MSA), and yield.
•    Lead root cause investigations for production or quality issues and drive effective corrective actions.
•    Identify and execute lean manufacturing activities to improve flow and eliminate waste.

Compliance, Quality & Support
•    Ensure strict compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and "Zero Injury Plans" (ZIP).
•    Maintain adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and ESD-safe requirements.
•    Provide operational support for the calibration database, ensuring department tools and testing equipment remain in compliance.
•    Support hazardous material management and documentation requirements for the production floor.

Administration & Coordination
•    Review and approve employee timesheets and process department procurement requests.
•    Coordinate production readiness and resource planning with the Operations Project Manager (OPM).
•    Provide timely updates on production performance, risks, and recovery plans to senior leadership.

Qualifications: 

•    Degree or diploma in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
•    5–8+ years of experience in production or manufacturing management.
•    Proficient in French and English.

Preferred Additional Skills:

•    Certified in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (Green Belt or equivalent).
•    Proven experience leading diverse technical teams in a production facility with varying levels of seniority and expertise.
•    Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620) and J-STD-001.
•    Familiarity with AS9001 is considered an asset.
•    Experience with Infor LN (ERP & PLM) is considered a strong asset.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
