L3Harris Technologies seeks a dynamic Director of Supply Chain Management for our Mission Networks Sector. This role is pivotal in providing secure, mission-critical communications and infrastructure services, enhancing operational safety and efficiency for our customers
L3Harris Technologies seeks a strategic leader with extensive knowledge of supply chain processes and project management. This role oversees the entire Supply Chain acquisition process, from proposal stage through program award and execution for strategic subcontracts, in a fast-paced environment. The Director will manage business unit costs, schedules, and technical performance, ensuring that both L3Harris and customer objectives are met with on-time delivery, exceptional quality, and affordability. Additionally, this role involves leading strategic initiatives and requires international travel.
Essential Functions:
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of supply chain professionals at varying levels of experience.
- Responsible for staffing, recruiting, training, talent development, engagement, and retention of employees across multiple sites.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to direct Subcontract Managers and Material Management reports.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Develop and implement strategic Supply Chain initiatives and programs in support of the Mission Networks business promoting sound and effective principles as set forth in company procedures, government standards and directives, and commercially proven methodology and ensure that the department conforms to these principles.
- Implement solutions to complex problems and identify areas for supplier performance improvement and cost reduction.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement new products, processes, policies, standards, or operating plans in support of job function strategy.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve program, customer, and corporate goals for sales, orders, and profit.
Communication and Reporting:
- Regularly report to executive management, including the Mission Networks’ President and VP of Supply Chain, on functional performance, metrics, and advances within Mission Networks business.
- Work closely with the program teams and cross functional organizations to ensure that all phases of the procurement life cycle, from early supply chain involvement through contract closeout, meet the requirements for mission success.
- Communicate with parties inside and outside the organization on matters of strategic importance to influence senior leadership on new concepts, practices, and approaches.
International Programs and Expansion:
- Support strategic business initiatives to grow international business
- Travel to international site locations (minimum quarterly)
- Develop processes and standard work for international sites aligned with company procedures, government standards and directives, and commercially proven methodology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Advanced management, business knowledge, leadership capabilities, and broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines.
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the function or organization.
- Ability to develop and implement proposal strategies, track functional costs, and drive down cost to serve.
- Experience coordinating with engineering directors and business program leads for smooth implementation of new requirements.
- Experience managing budgets and sales forecasting.
- Experience with international programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
