Job Description:

Manages day-to-day activities of RS-25 test and assembly teams consisting of various engineering disciplines and technical personnel. Responsible for task scheduling and personnel assignments to meet program deadlines. Provides daily status updates to team, management, and customer.

Essential Functions:

• Provides and continuously updates assembly and test schedules for RS-25 engines.
• Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
• Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
• Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
• Utilizes organizational skills to effectively coordinate schedules and work flow utilizing the knowledge of operations (manufacturing, engineering, test, etc.) as required to accomplish assigned activities.
• Supports test readiness reviews.
• Ability to obtain a NASA Personal Reliability Program (PRP) clearance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience working in test and assembly environments.
• Previous project management experience.
• Good communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to peers, management, and customers.
