Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for our Huntsville, AL. The Specialist Project Engineer role supports an established program that involves nonconformance resolution, parts obsolescence, performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management. Under limited general direction, you will be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, you will coordinate thermal and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while supporting the program technical lead. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior project engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior project engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior project engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, and Material Engineering is preferred
- Experience with solid propellant propulsion projects is highly desired
- Technical background is preferred
- Experience with nonconformance resolution and parts obsolescence is preferred
- CAD knowledge is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is desired
- Familiarity with standard engineering tools and practices
- Ability to create technical reports and present information to leadership
