Job Description:
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as a mentor to lower-level peers and provides guidance on tasks.
- Performs rework.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with team members.
- Close attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Requires advanced job knowledge/skills typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with six (6) years of prior related experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- General knowledge of Lean or demand flow manufacturing.
- Leadership skills/training.
