- Analyze top level specifications for RF subsystems and develop top level architecture, including partitioning of functionality amongst lower-level subassemblies
- Decompose specifications into detailed functional requirements at the card/module level
- Perform detailed electromechanical design of top-level subsystem in coordination with all design functions
- Design, analyze, and integrate RF subsystems using direct RF sampling and high-speed mixed-signal architectures.
- Perform trade studies involving ADC/DAC selection, analog front-end design, spurious performance, instantaneous bandwidth, SFDR, SNR, ENOB, and dynamic range.
- Collaborate with digital, FPGA, DSP, software, and hardware design teams to partition functions between analog and digital domains.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership on architecture and implementation decisions.
- Work with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to transition designs into production.
