Job Description:
The Lead, Systems Engineering - Electronic Warfare position will be responsible for the technical execution of a portfolio of programs in Clifton, NJ. The position involves close collaboration with other L3H programs to ensure commonality in system designs and opportunity for growth where possible. The position will also provide coaching and development for the portfolio engineering staff as well as oversight and direction for the entire portfolio.
Essential Functions:
- Lead portfolio cross discipline implementation teams across 3 programs on planning, documenting, and implementing additional capabilities into HW/FW/SW baseline that will meet the customer needs
- Lead test and delivery of production systems to the customer and meet all milestone deliveries
- Lead the team in planning by establishing work packages that can be decomposed during Product Increment planning, lead and organize the teams and maintain alignment with the overall Advanced EW initiatives
- Meet with customers on a regular cadence to ensure alignment
- Collaborate with manufacturing, Ops, and quality to ensure on time delivery of product to customer
- Lead concurrent, development, integration, and production efforts
- Provide direction on both acceptance criteria for epics, demonstrations for the culmination of product development increments, and establish definition of done for newly integrated capabilities at a system level.
- Engineering POC for portfolio accomplishments, issues, highlights, weekly status
- Ensure adherence to tailored L3Harris engineering processes in the portfolio
- Interface with L3Harris Leadership team in regards to portfolio direction, strategy, and status
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems, or Mechanical engineering and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience in an Engineering leadership role, such as: Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead
- Experience with systems integration and test, including but not limited to systems integration lab (SIL), chamber, ground, and flight.
- Experience with requirements development and architecture definition.
- Experience on large scale Hardware / Software Engineering development efforts
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Electronic Warfare subject matter expert
- Experience in the Digital Engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), and System Simulation
- Experience with Agile Development
- Experience on large scale production efforts
- Demonstrated ability to deliver and sustain measurable results
- Ability to coach, mentor and build relationships with external organizations
- Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation)
