Job Description:
L3Harris is looking for a Field Technician to support multiple programs as part of our Flight Test and Field Service team. You will support a variety of events in a lab setting and in the field. You will be responsible for providing technical support for various efforts involving ground support systems, aircraft systems and flight testing. This position requires a mechanically proficient self-starter that is motivated to contribute to mission success.
Essential Functions:
- Hands on technical support during flight test events.
- Assist various engineering teams with product design, development, testing and troubleshooting.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 50% of the time.
- Occasionally work long hours (12+) in hot/cold environments.
- Occasionally work holidays, weekends and short notice travel.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders – Internal, Commercial and Government.
- Active US DOD TOP SECRET security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. Onboarding is contingent upon clearance received/approved.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted or 100 lbs. as part of a two-person team.
Qualifications:
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience .
- Active US DOD TOP SECRET or TS/SCI security clearance. Onboarding is contingent upon clearance received/approved.
- 2+ years’ experience in a field service or aircraft maintenance role with hands on hardware experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience generating work summary and discrepancy reports.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Military experience.
- Aviation / UAS Experience.
- Familiarity with software products such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office, TFTP32, Treater, PuTTY, Notepad++, WinSCP, FileZilla, Winmerge, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS, Falcon view etc.
- Familiarity with basic computer networking.
- Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
- Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices.

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $75,000 - $139,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
