Job Description:

This position reports directly to the VP, International Business Development (BD), aligned to the Space & Mission Systems (SMS) Segment, and is responsible for protecting and growing the SMS portfolio across the Middle East, Turkey, and North Africa (MENAT) region. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated success pursuing major defense acquisition programs across airborne, maritime, space, and ground domains, at both the platform and system level, and will possess trusted relationships with customer MOD personnel, OEMs, regional industry, and U.S. Government offices.

Essential Functions:

  • Protect and grow the portfolio within the MENAT region.
  • Maintain expertise in regional politics, regulations, relationships, and acquisition processes across the MENAT region.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for the segment and establish strong, trusted relationships with key regional customers.
  • Understand products and capabilities across the SMS Segment in order to position, differentiate, and communicate effectively.
  • Build partnerships with local industry to meet offset and industrial participation requirements.
  • Support and strengthen relationships with large OEMs, with a focus on their local offices.
  • Collaborate and communicate across employees and representatives in the region, corporate country leaders, and U.S.-based businesses.
  • Keep the internal customer and opportunity database up to date and support inputs to the Annual Operating Plan and long-term planning.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and present them to the relevant sectors for evaluation and pursuit.
  • Develop impactful messaging, white papers, and briefing materials for both internal and external customers.
  • Engage in requirements-based discussions, build and execute strategy, and manage resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent military experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 20 years of prior related experience or equivalent military experience is required.
  • Demonstrated success shaping and closing international sales of major platforms and systems valued at greater than $100M USD.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of defense, intelligence, and adjacent markets and customers across airborne, maritime, space, and ground domains in the MENAT region.
  • Familiarity with U.S. export regulations and agencies.
  • Must be located in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, with the willingness to work mornings or evenings to connect with U.S.-based colleagues.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Fluency in English, Arabic and French.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the MENAT region, with previous time spent in-region.
  • Understanding of key industry partners and OEMs in the region.
  • Self starter, ability to operate remotely from the main L3Harris facilities in the region.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional multinational teams spanning Government Relations, Program Management, and Engineering to deliver successful campaign results.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
