Job Description:
Manage various time and labor applications for designated divisions. This position focuses on process and system improvement and works independently to make recommendations for solutions related to payroll processes. The job responsibilities include problem resolution, customer service, communications, and training, among other tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and post labor to financial ERPs and payroll applications for assigned groups in accordance with company policy and state and federal laws.
- Proactively identify issues with a timecard system to ensure it is compliant with FLSA laws, company policy and government requirements. For identified issues, write and convey requirements, formulate test cases, test, communicate, and implement.
- Monitoring payroll entries as needed.
- Responding to inquiries from employees, HR, managers and the payroll processors.
- Actively participate in special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with internal compliance in researching and providing records for audit. Ensure SOX controls are complete.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and drive implementation results.
- Research and analyze data timecard data for company policy and legal compliance for responding to inquiries, trending, and root cause analysis for issues raised by employees, HR, legal, benefits, compensation and payroll.
- Recommending and implementing process improvements through E3 and LHXNeXt and ensuring consistency and collaboration among all team members. Employees may interact with government compliance, HR, legal, payroll, finance and compensation
- Abide by audit and compliance controls and pull together associated metrics as needed.
- Document processes and procedures and maintain to increase efficiency and standardization in accordance with any/all company policies and federal/state laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in T&L compliance, finance or payroll.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Computer skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrated practical experience in root cause analysis, analytical thinking, independent judgement, initiative, multi-tasking, customer service, details, prioritization, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $54,000-$100,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $61,500-$114,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
