Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Associate Production Planner to join our team. This team member will perform planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through carious production phases.
Essential Functions:
- Implements planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements
- Reviews schedules to determine material and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules
- Analyzes, plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements
- Analyze work order data, recommend adjustments to lead times, lot sizing and planning buffers
- Manage and minimize obsolescence due to design and revision changes
- Lead and participate in process improvement ideas and implementation
- Plans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material from receiving through to production
- Proactively develop risk mitigation strategies for critical material, long lead and historical delivery/quality items
- Provides status of work in progress, material availability to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed
- Oversight of new product introductions and redesign activities. Track and report on material status
- Understand focused factory capacity including capital, manpower and time required to increase capacity
- Make schedule recommendations to Business Planning based on demand and available capacity, production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Problem solving abilities
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Experience in ERP system set-up and use
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $50,500-$93,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
