Job Description:
The New Business Operations Director is responsible for all business development rhythms including pipeline analysis, discretionary budget management, new business lean six sigma process improvement, CRM administration and data integrity, data visualizations, and general new business analytics for the Communication Systems Segment. The role will report to the Sr Director, Business Development and Capture Excellences and work closely with the Strategy, Capture, Business Development, and Finance teams. The position will support the CS S&BD organization with internal facing activities to enable successful new business growth objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Coordination and generation of executive level briefings, working directly with VP and directors within CS Segment, Sectors, and Divisions
- Coordination of data calls, working with the BD team to provide timely, accurate and complete information to support requests and efforts.
- Ability to develop staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional and cross segment teams.
- Working with Finance to facilitate long-range planning cycles.
- Management of CS discretionary funds.
- Develop and track new business data metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to manage several tasks occurring simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with all levels of leadership, in particular CS Segment Executives
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of eight professionals.
- Requires high-energy, advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Disciplined, self-starting professional who can bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight
- Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
- Ability to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed people
- Knowledge of the L3Harris Common Capture Process or Shipley’s Business Acquisition Process
- Demonstrated ability in data analytics, data visualizations, budget management
- Must work independently under limited supervision
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $149,000 - $277,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
