Job Description:
The Calibration Administrator is responsible for performing administrative and clerical functions for the Calibration Laboratory. This individual will coordinate the ingress and egress of test equipment through the laboratory, reporting of the database, while ensuring vendor and third party related calibration activities are completed on schedule.
Essential Functions:
- High volume of specialized data entry and tracking in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Assist Calibration Manager with predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance efforts as required to improve calibrated equipment availability.
- Initiate procurement of parts and services from suppliers, obtaining comparative cost quotations, preparing purchase requisitions and shipping documents.
- Prepare measuring and test equipment for shipping or vendor pick-up, ensuring proper handling and transport.
- Maintain detailed spreadsheet of supplier costs for all calibration suppliers and parts suppliers, in support of quarterly budget reviews.
- Maintain and organize calibration history files.
- Review calibration records completed by vendors.
- Complete routine inspection of Calibration Laboratory.
- Interface with onsite department calibration coordinators.
- Work with Calibration Technicians towards overall success of the program.
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned and needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Calibration/Instrumentation experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
- General knowledge of technical requirements for the calibration of measuring and test equipment (ANSI-Z540).
- Basic knowledge of all calibrated equipment, ability to calibrate all tools and working knowledge of drawing interpretation.
- Knowledge of physical/dimensional and electronic metrology principles and practices, ability to work with all types of electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing; ability to read circuit schematics; ability to solder are desired.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $26.44 MIN - $49.27 MAX.
