Job Description:
The Integrated Mission Systems segment is seeking a Finance professional, who will coordinate with the segment’s lead of Finance Earned Value Management oversight and Cobra application deployment and operations. With current revenues of approximately ~$7 billion, the IMS segment is a growing and highly dynamic business consisting of diverse business models, robust pipeline, U.S. government and international offerings and complex entity structures across both domestic and international operations. This position is responsible to support segment finance and operating sites with implementation, oversight and maintenance of program control processes, tools and applications in support of contract performance.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with ensuring overall EVM compliance and proper program control environment is maintained at operating sites
- Ongoing enhancement and refinement of the Earned Value Management (EVM) processes in collaboration with program finance and program management functions
- Assist with new contract start-ups with cost and schedule integration, proper program control processes and set up in EVM application (Cobra)
- Support operational needs of the EVM application (Cobra); including requirements definition, security architecture, change management process and system validation/testing.
- Maintain and enhance standard reporting and export tools; ERP and Integrated Master Schedule automation tools to interface with EVM application
- Support in the development of training, and instruction, of EVM, project control system processes and Cobra
- Provide support to program finance teams: helpdesk and site engagements
- Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures
- Makes/recommends substantial improvements to systems and processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Information Technology and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects or processes with general oversight
- Prior experience with Earn Value Management and government contracting
- Experience with program controls/program management processes, as applied on developmental engineering and production programs, including but not limited to risk management, financial management, work breakdown structures, change management, cost estimating, configuration management and system surveillance, operations, and procurement.
- Technical knowledge of Deltek Cobra application
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, able to assess and interpret large amount of EVM data, metrics, and trends
- Familiarity with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, EIA-748-D, EVMSIG, and NDIA Intent Guides.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Candidate should be self-directed, proactive, and possess good communications, planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically disbursed teams
- Expertise in implementing EVMS – Earned Value Management Systems
- Experience with Deltek Other Tools (OPP; PM Compass) preferred
