Job Description: L3Harris is currently seeking to hire an Integrated Product Support (IPS) Engineering Services Sr Specialist to support Strategic Missions Division (SMD) programs. Management tasks include developing and/or providing oversight on leading logistics tasks and projects, depot/supply support operations, system design interface/influence as well as facilities management and IT Services Support structures.
Responsible for specialized tasks in depot/sustainment and Packing, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) management, and the planning and execution of IPS projects and activities within SMD.
Essential Functions:
- Manage an efficient PHS&T process which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle cost (LLC)
- Interface daily with engineering teams and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to ensure all SMD PHS&T needs are being met
- Process, track, and close-out the shipment of products to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMs
- Perform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property
- Manage PHS&T stock such as packing materials, boxes, crates, etc. and order supplies when needed
- Manage assets and request calibration/repair services
- Lead depot specific operations as directed by PMO and/or IPTL
- Works with engineering teams to evaluate and implement process improvements
- Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment
Qualifications:
- Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Candidate must have the ability to move material and/or upload/download trucks by hand or by using material handling equipment
- Ability to lift 45 lbs
- Active TS/SCI Required
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active TS/SCI/CI Poly
- Working knowledge of the following tools: PLM/PDM, SHIP!, Confluence, Sunflower, and WASP
- Forklift certification
- Experience with HAZMAT/MSDS
- Must be comfortable using computers (MS Office) and be able to learn L3Harris asset tracking software and its peripherals
- Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
