Job Description:
This position will be responsible for creation, upkeep, and cross-site harmonization of Operations Command Media. Effective collaboration with stakeholders in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality is critical to this role, as well as having strong coordination with the Skills Training, Process Engineering, and Materials & Processes teams. The role will interface with cross-functional teams across the segment to drive the implementation of standard best practices and processes.
Essential Functions:
- Interface with senior management, engineering, and all of Operations across the segment.
- Review Operations command media for accuracy to L3Harris processes and relevant standards (IPC, J-STD, MIL-STD etc).
- Incorporate proposed updates to documentation (ie Word, Excel) through the signoff process, followed by incorporation into appropriate databases (ie Sharepoint).
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset by harmonizing Manufacturing command media with other sites across the segment.
- Support training and certification upkeep.
- Improve chemical manufacturing processes and update associated command media.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Experience in reviewing/creating/upkeeping processes and procedures.
- Detailed knowledge using Microsoft programs.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of company Environmental Health & Safety practices.
- Lean certified or a working knowledge of Lean Tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with electro-mechanical, Microelectronics, cables, SMT, and materials manufacturing.
- Experience with relevant electronics standards (IPC, J-STD, MIL-STD etc).
- Experience presenting to Senior Management and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Self-directed and can prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result
