Job Schedule: 9/80 work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities, under general supervision of the Facilities Manager.
The Facility Technician (Carpenter) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- 50% - Repair and maintenance of existing facilities
- 40% - New construction
- 10% - 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing
- Must be safety and environmentally conscious.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting.
- Proficient computer skills (such as MS Word and Excel, including use of formulas) strongly desired.
