Job Description:
- Developing support individual contributor. Works under general supervision. Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for performing a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, as well as performing repair and rework and quality testing related to the Repair of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Disassembles and re-assembles various electro-mechanical devices using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and / or schematics.
- Familiar with the operation of calipers, torque drivers, also Performs trouble-shooting and diagnostic tasks as required using DVM, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, power meters, etc. proficient at soldering, drilling, tapping, working with hand tools, and repairing elecrto-mechanical devices.
- Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
- Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.
- Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.
- Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates. Set-up and operate various pieces of shop equipment as required to accomplish assembly tasks.
- Proficient at riveting and rivet removal. Soldering certified.
- Mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure shelf life integrity.
- Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement.
- Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
- Support the Test department with trouble shooting failures. Works with engineers in conducting experiments."
- Repair antennas and related products.
- Create repair documentaion and track repair progress.
- Communicate with Contracts, Planning, Quality and other support groups.
Qualifications:
- Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Electro-mechanical assembly and repair, soldering, riveting, adhesives, blue print reading, electronic work instructions.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- RF (Radio Frequency) Kowledge.
- Active Clearance Preferred.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $56,000 - $74,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
