About your next Challenge as a Cyber Security Analyst:
The L-3 MAPPS Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) running on board various military ships throughout the world is built using software developed by L3Harris MAPPS and integrates with almost all onboard equipment.
As a cybersecurity developer, you will play a key role in enhancing the cybersecurity elements of the IPMS product development process, starting from project planning and continuing through development and verification. The cybersecurity team is responsible for protecting the product’s cybersecurity by collaborating with all engineering teams to integrate and automate security measures throughout the software and hardware development lifecycle. Given the far-reaching implications of cybersecurity, your role will also involve working with and influencing various other departments within the organization. This position focuses on two main aspects: defining and implementing cybersecurity measures, and supporting other teams to enhance the overall security of the product.
What will you do:
- Implement various security measures.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and code reviews to evaluate cybersecurity implications.
- Collaborate with other engineers to establish appropriate security and governance practices, and carry out audits.
- Significantly enhance existing secure coding practices and establish secure software lifecycle processes, including automation.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- At least 10 years of combined experience in software development and cyber security acquired specifically in the context of product development.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate the current security posture of the product, modify architectural components from a strategic level, execute tactical and targeted changes architecture in order to close down the product attack surface.
- Good communicator and able to present cyber security concepts to software developer.
- Advanced knowledge of security concepts in C++, C#, and Python.
- Advanced Knowledge of Static and Dynamic Code analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of secure software development.
- Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure design, architecture and network segmentation (IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.1X).
- Proven analytical skills decision-making abilities based on quantitative and qualitative data.
Preferred Additionnal Skills:
- DevOps and SecDevOps.
- System administration (Window and Linux).
- Cyber security certifications a plus.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools.
- Agile and scrums.
- Fluent in English, French a plus.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
