About your next challenge as Senior Specialist, Industrial Security:
The Senior Specialist, Industrial Security, reporting to the Manager, Industrial Security, actively participates in the MAS security department’s mission to ensure the protection of individuals, facilities, property and data belonging to the company and its various customers. Added to this is the management and enforcement of laws and regulations, contractual obligations and company policies.
What You Will Do:
- Support the Manager Industrial Security in the operational security oversight of all L3Harris MAS facilities;
- Act as the point of contact for the security guards employees;
- Plan and assist during safety inspections, including various audits;
- Support the Communication security (COMSEC) custodian on the development and updating of the emergency plan;
- Assist in the maintenance, update and in conducting the annual compliance of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP);
- Provide advice and support to offsite Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSO);
- Lead and assist with the development and maintenance of corporate security policies in accordance with L3Harris Corporation security policies and the Canadian Industrial Security Manual;
- Together with the various internal services, ensure compliance with security measures;
- Act as an Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSO), as needed, for the Industrial Security Program;
- Act, as required, as Designated Official (DO) for the Controlled Goods Program;
- Act as Manager, Industrial Security in his or her absence.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience (industrial security, management, etc.) or;
- Graduate Degree (industrial security, management, etc.) with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience or;
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience;
- In-depth knowledge of industrial security programs and controlled goods will be considered as a priority;
- Knowledge of the ITAR Regulation is considered an asset;
- Strong technical skills in security systems (cameras, access control and passes);
- Bilingualism, French and English (intermediate level, spoken and written) is required;
- Demonstrate discretion, autonomy, judgment, integrity and reliability.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
