Job Title: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Administrator (Melbourne, FL)

Job Description:
The PKI Administrator will be responsible for the management and governance of the organization's PKI systems. This role requires a deep understanding of cryptography, certificate management processes, and security best practices to ensure the secure issuance, management, and use of digital certificates.
Essential Functions:
- Administer and manage the PKI infrastructure, including Certificate Authorities (CAs), Registration Authorities (RAs), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and certificate management systems.
- Issue, renew, and revoke digital certificates as per the established policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain PKI policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor the health and performance of the PKI systems, and perform regular system audits.
- Coordinate with IT and security teams to integrate PKI with other systems such as email, web servers, and network devices.
- Respond to PKI-related incidents and participate in the resolution and root cause analysis.
- Provide guidance and support for certificate usage and management to internal teams.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and PKI technologies to maintain system security.
- Manage relationships with external PKI service providers and vendors.
- Conduct training sessions to educate staff on PKI policies and certificate management best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Active Directory knowledge
- Windows Server Knowledge
- Strong understanding of cryptography, including asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, and key management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in managing PKI infrastructure and digital certificates.
- PKI with Windows\Linux Active Directory knowledge preferred
- Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or related certifications are preferred.
