The role will involve being the primary manufacturing technical support for our space manufacturing programs. In this role you will be responsible for support of all assembly and build processes. Ideal candidates must be able to work in a highly regulated build space and work with complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Essential Functions:
- Support the generation of equipment operating instructions.
- Support the technical needs of the production staff on mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Responsible for supporting the designing and development of manufacturing tools and processes.
- Work cross functionally with manufacturing, quality, and design communities.
- Support the department engineering staff with production readiness reviews.
- Displays a high level of independence and personal accountability to meet company and personnel deadlines, including capital procurement.
- Support the build and assembly of other electro-optical products.
- Support projects including capital procurement and installation.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- 4 years or more experience supporting engineers for production readiness reviews.
- 4 years or more experience in procurement support and installation of capital equipment.
- 4 years or more experience in demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and passion for continued learning.
- 4 years or more experience in strong time management and interpersonal communication skills.
- 4 years or more experience in prioritizing, multi-tasking, working independently, and adapting to sudden changes in plans.
- 4 years or more experience interfacing across various teams and functions.
- 4 years or more experience with Microsoft Office Suites.
- 4 years or more experience in conducting data analysis.
- 4 years or more experience in supporting and conducting trials.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Associate or B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Electro-Mechanical technology is preferred.
- Strong assembly skills is a plus.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
