Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Assembly B (Intermediate Level) you will beresponsible for contributing to the success of our Sensors Division performing production tasks for a wide variety of Dewar assemblies which may include skilled hand work and or utilizing automated production equipment. Work is performed in a clean lab that sometimes requires optical magnification. This is a first shift position with flexible start time.
Essential Functions:
- Complete assigned manufacturing process steps for DEWAR assemblies and sub-assemblies for customer deliverables
- Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component preparation/installation, hand soldering as needed on assembly units
- Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms, and documents
- Understand and follow appropriate test equipment / safety procedures
- Support group objectives for on-time delivery
- Follow industry standard or practice for 6S
- Work independently and with a team
- Provide regular status reports on work in progress
Qualifications:
- Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- 2 years or more experience using email and Microsoft office.
- 2 years or more experience with hand tools.
- 2 years or more experience with reading and following drawings and work instructions.
- 2 years or more experience in working individually and in a diverse and team-oriented environment.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Solder certification
- Eager to learn new processes
- Experience in an ESD/FOD and or clean room areas
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting at a workstation and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to a minimum of 25 pounds at times
