Job Description:
Inventory Management Support B is responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the distribution of materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Receives incoming materials from stock, unpacks and checks material received against shop order material list.
- Re-distribute material to required workstations and bins.
- Coordinates with production operators and planners to transport work in process to multiple locations throughout the production facility.
- Performs manufacturing floor stock cycle counts as required.
- Assist production planning in providing status on work in process and updating electronic reports.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
- Working around areas which are handle different kind of chemicals, such as alcohol, painting, epoxy, and staking.
- Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
- Fully proficient support individual contributor.
- May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise.
- Works under limited supervision.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using an MRP systems with MES capabilities.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
- Organizational skills.
- Prior experience with meeting goals / deadlines while being able to be flexible.
- Must be able to independently lift 40 pounds.
- Require the ability to push / pull using a bliss cart transporting system throughout the day.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, bend and twist repeatedly throughout the day
