Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies, Inc., is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to support the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) products used to protect soldiers and diplomats across the globe.
Work with industry professionals through the complete software development process including requirements generation, architecture and design, implementation, and system integration and validation.
Essential Functions:
- Lead/participate in the software development efforts on various applications for special communication and software-defined radio systems/devices
- Must be good at managing customer interactions and giving presentations.
- Must be good at understanding different personality types and leading.
- Must have a composed demeanor and the ability to remain poised under pressure. The ideal applicant should demonstrate a capacity for maintaining a level-headed approach in dynamic or challenging situations.
- Ability to work closely with System and test engineers throughout the software design/development life cycle
- Experience with design, development, and testing of object-oriented software in C/C++ and Python.
- Perform software/hardware integration during software development and unit testing
- Knowledge of design patterns and their practical uses.
- Experience with embedded development targeting Linux.
- DevOps/DevSecOps exposure.
- Document software design and participate in design and code reviews
- Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline with 4-6 years experience or Master's degree and 2-4 year's experience. In lieu of degree, 10 years of software experience.
- 4 to 8 years of professional C++ language software development experience required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship
