Job Description:
L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions sector has an availability for a Procurement Sr. Specialist to join our Londonderry, NH team. This role will influence Electronic and/or Optical suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies. Addtiionally, this position will aid in the development of long-term department strategies and significantly influence the cross-company project development and delivery processes and standards.
Essential Functions:
- Lead sourcing engagements and competitive bidding (RFI, RFQ, and RFP)
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, PMs, MPMs in securing the best solutions for new or existing programs
- Proactively manage the supply base to achieve our site goals
- Research and benchmark current market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges for each assignred commodity
- Execute spend management strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, make vs. buy analyses, vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, commodity roadmaps, and procurement/stakeholder collaboration
- Lead negotiations and minimizing the purchase price variance (PPV). Ensure on time deliveries by monitoring the materials lead time, capacity status, and market conditions of purchased commodities, completion of contracts with strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits for the L3Harris IVS
- Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with internal customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and SCM team members
- Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing respective supply base including leading periodic Supplier business reviews, monitoring and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans
- Establish, implement, report and socialize on specific, actionable, measurable, achievable, time specific goals and objectives and related performance
- Travel as required and approximately less than 15%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience demonstrating negotiation skills
- Cost Point ERP System Experience
- Graduate degree
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Certified Professional Contract Manager
- Experience working with DoD procurement Requirements and practices including FAR & DFAR procurement requirements
- Strong understanding of Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, and material logistics
- Cost analysis experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
- Global sourcing experience
