Job Schedule: 1st shift- 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Essential Functions:
- Expert continuous improvement professional to identify, improve, and implement strategic program initiatives and processes in technical, engineering, and manufacturing areas.
- The successful candidate will coordinate across departments and outside the organization to influence and drive a culture for continuous improvement.
- Provides expertise in deploying Lean/Six Sigma programs and initiatives across the site
- Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training other employees in continuous improvement methodologies, Lean/Six Sigma, and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and tools
- Manages large, complex projects related to strategic initiatives to drive productivity improvements and efficiencies in technical / programs functional areas.
- Works across and leads cross functional teams to gain cooperation, drive solutions, optimize the workflow and achieve operational targets for specific programs
- Leads high profile & production sensitive RCCA investigations; facilitates the problem-solving team using the 8D process and ensures successful corrective action implementation.
- Makes significant enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of site areas.
- Provides expertise in deploying Statistical Process Control (SPC) for specific programs.
- Responsible for creating project debriefs and reporting success with the senior leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Black Belt Six Sigma Certification desired
- PMP/PMI Certification or equivalent is a plus
- Leadership, Change Management, and Facilitation experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel; Power Point; Word; Visio, SharePoint
- Proficient with Minitab statistics package
