Job Schedule: 1st shift- 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
As an Engineering Technician, you will be a key support figure to new product development and mature product support in a hands on role. Your responsibilities will include assignments that require practical assessments, creative solutions, analysis and presentation of information both within and outside the department. You will be a key player in identifying, evaluating, and resolving issues with new and mature products, your contributions will be instrumental in achieving operational targets that significantly affect the team's results.
Essential Functions:
- Maintaining Lab Equipment
- Solder Tasks
- Rework and repair equipment and products
- Identifying and documenting best practices on new product
- Assessing best practices on mature products and assisting with improvements
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical/engineering environment.
- Ability to follow a schematic
- Proficiency with technical tools and equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting, testing, and repairing mechanical or electronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to solve problems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with engineering teams and document findings.
- Familiarity with industry-standard safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and willingness to continuously develop technical skills through ongoing education and training
