Job Description:
Successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to develop/deliver technical training for airborne and ground-based systems. This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments.
Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates. Develop/deliver training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements and vendor spec sheets. Create course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the systems, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting, trainer/simulator environment, or on aircraft.
Essential Functions:
- Works under general supervision and may be responsible for entire programs.
- Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain, at a minimum, an active DoD Security Clearance at the Secret Level, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Willingness to work on site full time due to classified nature of the job duties
- Experience as an operator or maintainer on one or more military DV Airlift platforms.
- Airborne operator on C-32, C-40, C-37, or VC-25 platforms
- Background in the following:
- Executive Communication Systems
- VIP Airlift Operations
- Special Air Missions
- Secure Communications
- Radio Operations
- Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
- Voice and Data Transmission
- Communication Security (COMSEC)
- Airborne Communications
Preferred Additional Skills:
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Knowledge and experience implementing training programs using an instructional design methodology.
- Experience gathering and utilizing metrics to improve program performance.
- Training development and delivery in a technical environment.
