Job Description:
As a Systems Engineer – Intel & Cyber, you will lead the technical development of RF and SATCOM-based communications systems, implementation of projects involved in the development and fielding of ruggedized and transportable communications solutions involving:
- Establish and execute a long-term technical roadmap including innovation to improve existing product and infrastructure performance
- System concept development, design development, testing, and fielding of operational systems and networks
- Experience with RF, SATCOM (P-LEO, MEO, GEO), and Beyond Line-of-Sight technologies and architectures
- System architectural definition, development and preparation of CDRL documentation and other technical documentation that comprise each project’s Technical Data Package (TDP), for subsequent delivery to the customers
- Provide sustaining engineering support for legacy products (integration, testing, delivery, customer/user training, transition production efforts from Engineering to Operations)
- Coordinate and manage device software requirements and design with software engineers that communicates across a larger network
- Integration and field testing of communication solutions into larger systems (Iridium, Starlink, and satellite ground network infrastructure)
- Customer relationship establishment and maintenance (build, establish, and maintain solid working relationships with our diverse set of customers)
- Elicitation of requirements from customers and other technical community stakeholders
- CONOPS development including system/subsystem-level sequence diagrams, user cases and user stories and product requirements for interoperability
- Support feasibility studies, Make/Buy decisions and ROM efforts
- Coordinating with vendors and contracted manufacturers
- Working with CM tool sets (Atlassian Jira, Confluence)
- Support Business Area leadership with various on-going projects and system modeling and innovation efforts
- Travel as needed up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Relevant certifications such as INCOSE® (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
- Experience with design and development of circuit boards and hardware
- Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, test, debugging and defect analysis, mitigation, and resolution
- Experience with system modeling and simulation software
- Experience with embedded programming is highly desirable
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python is a plus
- Experience with development programs using the Agile and/or Agile SAFe methodology
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), on projects/programs with tools, such as, MagicDraw/Cameo System Modelor, JAMA, DOORS, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, and other RM/PLM tools would also be a plus.
- Experience on projects/programs involving the Iridium Space-based Cellular Network
- Experience on projects/programs involving Starlink and/or other P-Leo constellations
- Familiar with one or more of source code repository tools
