About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic software development team in the aerospace industry. Based in Greater London with hybrid working opportunities available, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of flight simulation by managing the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions for state-of-the-art flight simulators. Your leadership will ensure that our products meet the highest industry standards, and you will be instrumental in driving the success of software processes and ensuring compliance with safety-critical aerospace requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of software engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain software for flight simulation systems.
• Develop and implement efficient software processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and aerospace safety standards.
• Oversee project timelines, delivery schedules, and quality control, ensuring successful delivery of all software components and services.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, QA, and project management, to drive product development.
• Monitor and improve software performance, reliability, and scalability to meet the rigorous demands of flight simulation environments.
• Mentor and support the professional growth of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace and relevant regulatory standards, , ensuring the integrity and robustness of flight simulation software.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and aligning software solutions with business needs.
Key Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or in a leadership role within the aerospace, aviation, or simulation industries.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Expertise in mission-critical software development, with a focus on aerospace standards.
• Experience in C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale software projects from concept through to delivery.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of flight simulation technology or avionics software is highly desirable.
