Job Description:
Leads a team of 12 Associates across several work areas. Responsible for warehousing activities, which include the receipt, movement, and storage of raw materials and finished goods to ensure optimal organization and efficiency of logistics functions to support manufacturing operations. Manages the processing of material from Ready for Stores (RFS) status and return material to ensure they are physically and electronically moved in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database to a valid warehouse location. Pulls material for Manufacturing Orders, Additional Material Requests (AMRs), Scrap Replacement Requests. Manages the issue of material in accordance with First-In/First-Out (FIFO) methodology, assists in the preparation of returnable packaging and finished goods shipments as required. Support Line-side inventory replenishment for multiple programs as needed. Manages the Kanban Card system for the facility. Additionally, the incumbent may be required to flex across additional logistics activities as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate basic Microsoft and computer knowledge.
- Operate WMS system to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
- If selected the person must be able to successfully complete PIV training and qualify on the equipment within 45 days of on-the-job training.
- Proven track record of reliability and have demonstrated the ability to pay attention to detail along with solid organization skills that surpass that of his/her peers.
- Maintain the 6S and cleanliness of the Storeroom.
- Manage Kanban card system.
- Managed inventory levels for direct and indirect materials.
- Prepare and participate in internal and external audits.
- Ensure Storeroom Associates are complying with procedures and policies.
- Perform and reconcile Cycle Counts of Stock on Hand.
- No travel required, occasional overtime.
Qualifications:
- Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Required to perform tasks using a ladder with possible heights up to 10ft. Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25lbs.
- Requires 2 years or more experience with basic/intermediate Microsoft and computer knowledge.
- Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
- Incumbent must be able to successfully complete PIV training and qualify on the equipment (WAVE) within 45 days of on-the-job training.
- Must be able to qualify as an ATF Responsible Person.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Requires strong accurate counting ability, attention to detail, flexibility to changing priorities, strong customer focus, and mid-level problem solving ability skills.
- Should have a proven track record of reliability and have demonstrated the ability to pay attention to detail along with solid organization skills that surpass that of his/her peers.
- Prior warehousing experience or shipping/receiving and PIV training is preferred but not required.
- Prior successful team leadership of 1-4 years is preferred.
