Job Description:
This position supports System Integration and Test (SI&T) engineers and Mission Operations Trainers. This role differs from our typical SI&T Engineer, in that it is highly customer-centric and tailored to educate our customer on our proprietary technologies and to build the LHX brand by cultivating strong customer relationships leading to sustained business growth. As a member of the Mission Operations Team, you will be responsible for supporting the established training program. In this role, you will be responsible for direct interfacing of customer teams and delivering of training materials and knowledge in a clear manner. Secondary roles entail supporting integration and test execution by setting up various electro-mechanical systems. This includes working in a team environment to disassemble and re-assembles subassemblies that support system level testing. During this process you will assists in inspection of optical components for damage. Additional responsibilities also include inventorying of program equipment, maintaining the inventory databases, and ordering of hardware.
Essential Functions:
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, along with strong teaching skills, delivered with a customer-focused attitude.
- Develops and executes test procedures and test equipment to support the testing of sub-assemblies. Supports product development especially as it relates to product test and design for test. Procure required equipment to support system build and create supporting documentation.
- System integration and functional testing of hardware and software components.
- Ability to follow procedures while performing Assembly, Integration and Test activities
- Should have good attention to detail, highly interactive, willing to work in team environment.
Qualifications:
- Requires Active TS/SCI w/Poly
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Understanding of basic shop math such as ratios, graphs, algebra, and basic geometry
- Military trainer certifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Dreamweaver
- Must be able to move and facilitate test racks and test equipment to support test set-ups in a variety of work environments.
- Experience with handling of ESD sensitive components.
- Experience with electrical and fiber cable handling.
- Familiarity with data acquisition monitoring and controls
- Experience with oscilloscopes and other electrical precision measuring equipment.
