Job Description:
C5 Systems is seeking an intermediate FP&A analyst who will be responsible for providing key financial insights that will help drive the company's strategic decisions and financial planning process. This role requires an analytical thinker with the ability to work on complex financial models and provide actionable recommendations.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making regarding planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement.
- Coordinate with various departments to collect financial information and provide reports to senior management.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Support the FP&A Manager with ad-hoc analysis and special projects.
- Assist in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
- Develop financial presentations for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Masters’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration or related field.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial planning software.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in financial modeling techniques and spreadsheet creation.
